My first iMovie trailer: Healthy Whole Minds

An app your going you’re not going to want to skip on. Especially if you’re a teacher looking for new ways to incorporate technology in your classroom. IMovie is an app used to create trailers and movies. First, you will choose which project you want to make. Then you will have an option to pick a theme or start fresh with no theme. If you choose a theme, make sure it is one that goes with the topic you want to create because you can not change the music. Lastly, all you need now is your clips and images that you want to use. This app is really easy to use and most all it is free for most apple products if bought after October 2010. However, if you have an older model it does cost $14.99 on Mac’s and $4.99 for mobile devices. Although, I think it is worth it for teachers because you have many possibilities to use it in your classroom. For instance; making visuals for your lessons, classroom videos for families, student projects, and more. Depending on your usage of the app it can be used in all grade levels.

I really enjoyed using it to create my trailer. Not to mention my kids loved being the star of the show. It was really easy to get used to and be creative with. The best part was the filming and having fun with all the different clips I wanted in my trailer. I really liked all the different themes you could pick from. I chose Teen because the music seemed to be the best choice for my topic. The template was simple to use and already pre-made for me. I would have liked to make my own titles for the characters. However, overall a really cool app to have.
