Today, I explored a specific blog post from Shelly Fryer, who I reviewed several weeks ago you can find it here. Shelly’s Technology 101 skills for Teachers talks about using technology tools to in the classroom to enhance students creativity. She talks about how all students need their own iPad with apps to create and use it. As well as teachers should be using iPads because when you are using it on a regular basis it makes it easier to navigate through everything. It is also to learn the vocabulary like “save to camera roll and home button.” You should also have a classroom website to post your students projects and share them with their family.
I personally loved that she mentioned using iPads for “enrichment assessments” to demonstrate understanding. She shared a few apps that are great for checking for understanding such as: shadowPuppetEDU, Book Creator, and Opinion which are just a couple of apps she mentions. I love the idea of project-based learning and creating projects using technology in the classroom is a wonderful idea. Especially as we are living in a technology world now a days. We keep progressing are technology we should all be learning more about technology and using it in our everyday classrooms because the future generations will probably only technology at some point in their lives. I look forward to using all these apps in my future classroom. |
